Pro Chat Forum Demo 2 - Advanced Settings

If you have a dynamic or database driven web site you may wish to pass in data from your own system such as a Username, Profile and other run time settings. Select settings using the form below to be shown a Demo Forum configured with those settings. Leave a setting blank or at its default value if not required.

Pro Chat Forum Demo 2 - Advanced Settings

This demo has been set up to demonstrate just a fraction of the available run time options available to the Pro Chat Forum client applet. In addition to setting user information, colours and auto login features you may also set other settings such as forum title and welcome text. Some standard features may be disabled at run time, private messages and the dice roll feature for example plus the ability to set some default values such as text sizes and forum sounds.

The options shown in the form above are explained in more detail below:

Chat Username & User Profile
When either of these options are set with a valid value the appropriate entry on the Chat Forum login box will be filled out and 'locked' against user changes. These values would typically be used to enter a users details from your own membership database etc. You must provide at least a valid Username to test the auto login features. Leave these values empty to enter your login details manually.

Demonstrate Auto Login/Room Join
Select this check box to demonstrate the Auto Login and Auto Room Join features. The Auto Login feature will connect to the Chat Forum and login using the Username supplied above. The Auto Room Join feature will then direct you into the first chat room ready to chat, but this can be any valid room in your own configuration. Leave this check box unselected to login manually.

Border Background & Foreground Colours
The Border Background Colour effects the colour of the main border of the Chat Forum applet in addition to the background colours of the Rooms and Users pop up windows. The Border Foreground Colour effects the colour of the forum title located within the main border plus the colour of main text within the Rooms and Users pop up windows. These should be set at contrasting values to ensure text remains visible. You may set your own forum title text in your own configuration. Leave these values blank to use the default colours.
